Japan AE Power Systems Corporation
AE Power Metal Engineering Constructed
a New Plant and Began Operations
AE Power Metal Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (Melaka City, Malaysia; hereinafter gPMEh), an overseas subsidiary of Japan AE Power Systems Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Director: Takashi Kano; hereinafter gAE Powerh), announced that it constructed a new plant and began operations in November 2009, in order to enhance the capacity for manufacturing panel radiators, which are used as cooling devices for transformers. The investment amount spent on the additional plant construction is about JPY 300 million.
Since its establishment in 1996, PME has sold and delivered products to AE Power and a wide range of other Asian transformer manufacturers as a base for manufacturing transformer components. PMEfs new plant is equipped with manufacturing lines that newly accommodate wide-type radiators and began operation with an aim to expand orders, especially in Asia. Wide-type radiators comply with the DIN (German Institute for Standardization), which is adopted by a wide range of overseas manufactures.
After the construction of new plant, PME will have almost doubled its capacity and become capable of manufacturing wide-type, 520 mm-wide panel radiators, as well as current 380 mm-wide type panel radiators, and will be able to supply products to an even wider range of transformer manufacturers.
While the world economy has rapidly deteriorated since last October, demand for infrastructure improvement in the field of power transmission and distribution remains strong, as seen in the continuously scheduled renewal of existing substation facilities and construction of new substations. PME continues to aim the best possible service to our customers.
