High Voltage and High Power Testing Laboratory Certified under the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard

Our High Voltage and High Power Testing Laboratory has recently been certified by the Japan Accreditation Board for Conformity Assessment (JAB) as meeting gGeneral Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratoriesh specified in the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard.
ISO/IEC 17025 is an international standard, including criteria for evaluating technical capabilities, that was established in 1999 based on the ISO 9001 quality assurance system. Now that the High Voltage and High Power Testing Laboratory has been certified under the standard, we can perform tests within the scope of the standard and issue official test certificates.
The laboratory, one of the worldfs top test sites, has high-capacity facilities. It mainly carries out performance tests related to breaking, carrying current, and high-voltage insulation of electric equipment (gas insulation switches, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.) and calibrates voltage dividers for high-voltage tests. The test site features the following:

(1) Digital measurement and fully automatic data processing systems allow high-precision tests to be performed.
(2) Most electric equipment used at home and abroad can be checked for high-voltage, large-current performance.
(3) Synthetic breaking tests, in which recovery AC voltage (50 or 60 Hz) is applied, are possible with improved high-power testing facilities. A test circuit can be formed to perform capacitor and reactor breaking tests under various system conditions.
(4) High-voltage tests are available in four types: DC voltage, AC voltage, switching impulse voltage, and lightening impulse voltage.

Using our state-of-the-art testing facilities, we will help various companies perform dielectric strength and short-circuit tests needed to issue test certificates, plan electrical tests, and evaluate test results.
