Green Procurement

In an age of unprecedented awareness of the importance of protecting the global environment, we must develop ever-more recycling-oriented communities to ensure the continuing growth of society. The corporate sector plays a growing role in such efforts to preserve the environment.
As an energy company, we believe the global environment is our top priority when doing business. In addition to developing and manufacturing environmentally friendly products and working to reduce the environmental impact of our business activities, Japan AE Power Systems is engaged as a member of local communities in a variety of environmental initiatives.
This commitment to the environment extends to the goods and materials used in our operations. At Japan AE Power Systems, we deploy a system of “green procurement” that emphasizes the purchase of products, components, and materials with minimal environmental impact from suppliers actively involved in caring for the environment. This means focusing on the supplier's approach to environmental issues and considering the environmental implications of everything we purchase. As part of this commitment, we ask suppliers to complete our “green procurement survey.”
