Aiming to become a genuine global company

  Takashi Kano, President and Director

Japan AE Power Systems, specializing in power transmission and distribution, was established in July 2001 through a business partnership among Hitachi, Ltd., Fuji Electric Co., Ltd., and Meidensha Corporation. We deploy and develop new business products based on the technologies cultivated by our parent companies over the years, bringing together the strengths and characteristics of each company. Through this development, we are chosen as the primary business partner by many customers at home and abroad.

In the field of power transmission, in which we are engaged, demand for power infrastructure has expanded in emerging countries. In developed countries, we are required to meet various needs, ranging from new construction and maintenance to replacement, with many substation facilities deteriorating with age. Furthermore, needs for smart grids, the development of advanced system stabilization technology to respond to the introduction of new energy sources, and manufacturing aimed at a reduction of environmental load have been growing.

To meet these needs, we will work aggressively, utilizing our abilities to develop products and technologies suited to regional markets and communities, making use of our engineering skills as well. Additionally, in order to evolve into a genuine global company, we place focus on four overseas poles, namely, the Middle East, China, Asia, and North America, while aiming to create strong products that can lead the market, adopt and expand new businesses, enter new markets, enhance quality, and expand operations as a group with our associated companies.

Celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2011, we intend to contribute to society by supporting both human daily life and industrial development in the field of power infrastructure, situated between the producers and consumers of energy, while considering what shape the company should take a decade later.

Junichi Oishi
President and Director
