Fundamental Environmental Principle
In order to realize a sustainable society through our activities, products (transformers, switchgears and so on)
and services, Japan AE Power Systems Corporation is committed to meeting its social responsibilities by
promoting globally-applicable "MONOZUKURI" (designing, manufacturing, or repairing of products), which is
aimed at reducing environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycles, ensuring environmental
protection.
Action-Guidelines for Environmental protection
1. Provision of products and services that contribute to environmental protection
We provide product and services that contribute to global environmental protection and promote global
manufacturing for reducing environmental impact over the entire product life cycle, then contribution to
realization of recycle society.
2. Reduction of the environmental impact of our business activities
We will identify the environmental impact of our business activities and implement measures to reduce it,
such as activities that reduce emission of global warming and waste, and manage the chemical substances.
3. Compliance with applicable legal requirements and other requirements
We will comply with applicable legal requirements and other requirements stated in agreements relevant to
the environmental aspects of our business activities, and will set voluntary standards where necessary for
environmental protection.
With regard to our overseas business activities and export of products, we will comply with overseas legal
requirement and make further efforts for environmental protection.
4. Promotion of environmental management
We will implement continual improvements to our environmental management system and work for prevention
of pollution. We will promote our voluntary action plan by establishing environmental objectives and targets.
5. Enhanced employee environmental awareness and social contribution
We will conduct employee education to raise awareness of environmental issues, and contribute to society
through wide-ranging environmental protection activities engaged in by each and every employee.
6. Communication with relevant stakeholders
We will strive to disclose information to our stakeholders relating to environmental protection activities in
order to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperative relationships.
